Remembering Rothbard
It's been ten years...
If I don't get a lot of essay-writing done within the next few days, things are going to get pretty bad. So I wasn't planning on doing any more blogging, for now, after that January 6th Christmas entry below.
But now, just a little after midnight, I
was reminded that it is an important anniversary today. I had thought to myself earlier that I should post something for this day, which marks the anniversary of the sudden
passing of a very important figure in 20th-century political and economic history, and one of the greatest intellectuals and polemicists of our time.
Please check back here some time in the [hopefully-] near future for some more material on this topic.
(including a link to little-known web page that contains many of the fantastic essays and articles from The Irrepressible Rothbard - for free on the web!)
(It may not be until next week, though, due to the aforementioned circumstances...)

Update (1/9/04): I don't know how this happened, but look what the #1 listing result is for "
Rothbard" in the Daypop search engine. (Even a step above LRC...) Well, I wish that I could take the time now to post more about this incredible individual, but I have a deadline... which actually should have been yesterday. While this is going on, I asked Nathan to continue being the guest blogger here (his last entry
was quite successful), and I see that he has kindly obliged. Until later...

Merry Christmas!!
In response to some
holiday angst that I expressed from last year, Adrianne
made me aware that
today is still Christmas.
I am about to finish one of my overdue essays right now... I have to get many of them in within the next few days.
In the meantime, I want to continue to wish everyone a
Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year!!!
(I wish I was still in Florida... ;-)

Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
This is the article featured at the home page of the
The American Conservative (my favorite magazine!).
The actual print magazine (which, as I hope I've said before, is something that you should all subscribe to) is probably sitting at my on-campus residence. It would be nice if other college students also read material such as that.
